but earlier in the afternoon, when i was around, he didn't ask if i wanted to see a movie or anything with him. i asked him when i went to the casino if he was interested, and he said no and went right back to the game.
i guess its just not the same as it was in college....when you lived w/ someone, you did stuff together....i'm not sure if you've ever had roommates or not; but i always tried to do things w/ mine. it just made the living situation more fun, you know?
i'm not saying he has to do *Everything*; but this movie incident i guess kind of disappointed me. |
Yeah, it sounds like your experiences with share housing were quite similar to mine. In most (I stress, most ) places I lived with other people, the household would almost function as a social unit of it's own. I mean, everyone had their own friends and schedules and so forth, but it would always be like "Hey, me and some guys are heading out to a club/whatever later, you guys wanna come too?" Everyone was always let know if there was something/anything happening, and the people in those households grew close very quickly. I'm still friends with a load of people that I randomly met through moving into a spare room.
