I really like the Shiloh remix

Gareth Emery is actually one of the few "popular" producers these days that I actually think makes good music.

No, but in general I do like a strong beat in it. I listen most Trance in my car going to and from my work. Since I think there are enough tracks I like that meet my demands I skip many others. Also I listen to the A.S.O.T. sessions in my car and noticed I simply like the uplifting tracks most.

The perfect example is:
Majera - Velvet Sun (Aly & Fila Remix)

A beautiful track, great piano, not that uplifting, but a very strong beat. Although I like the original version too.

Bleagh, this sounds bland.
It's just weak anthem trance.
The beginning is driving and then it just falls softly on the floor and stays there dreaming of becoming a fat slob.
At the end a drill-sergeant comes in and drum-shouts it up to shape.
Nice, but the main piece should have been more punchy and driving.

Kalafut & Fygle - 3579 KM

I also like this track.

This is again too bland and anthemic for my taste.

Originally posted by Mattsanity now its REAL trance tunes like these that have kept trance alive from the past few years. none of that tom colangeleno and carl b shit. did you even know the two tunes above? I dont know you probably do but w/e. this is how trance is suppose to be done especially uplifting shit. not to forget that Id say real trance is real when its full of emotion and makes you literally wanna cry. not some heartless shit like serious truth

Trance is still a sea of shit with some great gems in in it, it only reeks different.
And REAL trance is quite subjective.

Regarding Gareth Emery, the only tracks i seem to like are Mistral, Another You Another Me and his Formentera What, Let It Flow and Metaverse remixes.
For the rest he has rather bland productions and remixes.

IMO the only good thing he ever did was,

Vinny Troia - Flow (Gareth Emery Remix)

other than that, he's like every other McTrance producer out there..
