I'd like to wish a warm "thank you" to everyone who paid $200 to get in. Thanks for raising the bar, now there's a precedent for similar or higher prices next year.

Am I the only one that think everyone here is a bunch of whiners? As far as I can tell the management (LP) has only gotten better every year.

- Previous years the line going to Space was well over a block long wrapping back and forth. Now I didn't go back to the front after exiting Parkwest but from what I hear this wasn't a issue this year.
- From what I read, some of the people in line were offered to be walked into Space where Ferry was playing. This obviously is them doing there best with the situation.
- From what I read, some people were walked in through the back entry. I don't know what happened but my assumption is they got walked to back room, true this isn't the front room but the front room was at capacity. I don't think this was security trying to make extra $$, but the regular entry way goes to the main room and they couldn't let anyone else in.
- The front room wasn't PACKED, but it wasn't empty either. I think it was at capacity as far as the fire marshall is concerned, we were told by security if we go to the back room we couldn't return to the front room.

Now this is as near to the fact that I can tell from hearsay, then we come the whiners.

- "I have presales and expect to come in any time I want"
I don't know what hick town you may come from but any clubber that comes from a major city knows this does not happen. I'm from San Francisco and if a major headliner is spinning I know that if I don't show up early I'm not going to get in till 1am. This is WMC week and you really think you can show up late and be able to walk right in?
- "I want a refund"
If you got in then you don't get a refund. Plain and simple, don't complain that you got in late and you deserve a refund on principal. If you wanted to protest because of your principals then you shouldn't have gone in and demanded a refund.
- "The bouncers were charging $200 to sneak people in"
It is like this EVERY weekend in Vegas and you think it is going to be easier during WMC weekend because your so special and know to click the 'Purchase' button for pre-sales.
- "WMC is all about club hopping"
HAHA!! Pool Party -> Ultra -> Night Party -> After Party is possible. But I hardly call that club hopping. If you think your going to leave one packed event and get into another packed event then your living in a wet dream.
- "The sound wasn't up to par"
What city do you live in? I need to check out these clubs that rocks it harder than Space and Parkwest. I haven't been to Space in a couple of years, but Parkwest's sound is top notch!! You need to get some earplugs before you completely destroy your ear drums, I think you lost all frequencies except the bass... Etymotic Research ER-20 (Shameless Plug for them)
- "The layout was ruined because of the VIP section"
True, we did lose some space in the back, but we gained some space on the side. Last year both sides were VIP but this year only one side had VIP. Overall there was a small percentage of space lost to VIP but it wasn't huge and since it wasn't jam packed like last year it was more comfortable. From what I saw all the VIP sections were full, so in a business decision they did the right thing.
- "Water is $10 a bottle"
Well I never encountered actual $10 water but people like to exaggerate and it is true water wasn't cheap. However, drinks were poured nicely and if I recall properly beer was $8 at Parkwest. Not cheap but it is WMC week so I got over it pretty quick. Don't blame the expensive water on the clubs, maybe if 90+% of the people weren't cracked out then they would sell more drinks. In case you have forgotten, it is a club and business which tend to rely on drinks. Me being able to walk to the bar and spend 30 seconds to wave down the bartender was a plus.
- "I was rolling in the line and had to wait 3 hours"
So I didn't actually hear this one, but I bet there were more than one person...

If you think it is over priced, then plenty of free/cheap parties. If you don't like the line, show up early. If you don't want to pay $10 water, don't be cracked out. If you don't like it, don't go.

IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE!!!

Yes, if I buy presales to an event I feel like I can show up whenever I want. Yes, I live in a hick town, but regardless, I paid for a service and was denied that service. The club has capacity limits and shouldnt sell presales if they arent going to honor all the ticketholders who purchase them.

I went, stood in line for fucking ever, therefore I would like a refund...is that wrong?

Just because it's like this in Vegas, doesnt mean it has to be this way in Miami. People who are "ok" with purchasing presales and then having to pay an additional $200 to get into a party are pretty much enabling these clubs/bouncers/whoever to do this...making it acceptable

I dont find that acceptable. If a club wants to be like that, then dont sell presale tickets to an event! Just charge admission at the door and rape people for however much you want. You damn sure wont catch me paying $200 to get into a club

And by no means am I saying it was the club owners fault for what went on, especially with the $200 bribes to be snuck in the back. But someone has to dish out some compensation

Well Fucking Said!!! I live in a small coastal town where there are ZERO upscale clubs and people havnt the slightest clue down here on how to party or why they sell water in a night club. Yet, I know the game and agree 110% with what you said. If everyone showed up early and all at the same time and didnt get in, then by all means, bitch...bitch...bitch. But dont whine because you didnt wash all the sand out of your Vag from Nikki Beach and that caused you to get to Parkwest@1AM well after you should have.
