Ain't great, but where else would you go in Ontario and especially Toronto?

There's actually Bubba's in Kingston that had some fairly decent poutine, not as good as Montreal but I'd say better than NYF. Won't be going back to that city for a while though!

Haha, who said I was there? I'm only saying what I've heard from the hardcore poutine fanatics. They think that all the fancy toppings you see at places like La Banquise are just covering up for the inadequacies of the fundamental ingredients. The one name that always seems to come up is Cal's.

I wouldn't know myself. I figured someone in here might.

I recently was converted to a couple of topping combos at la banquise, i usually get the regular (with extra cheese if extra hungry).

But agree some of the varieties found there are ridiculous, peas on poutine!??! gtfo.
