Freakin' finite element method. Those matrices can be huggeee. I'm studying to be a structural engineer still working on my bachelors and we got a taste of that in my Structures class when solving for forces and deflections on a beam or frame truss. The actual Finite Element class is a graduate course at my university so I will never see it again unless I go for my masters degree.

yeah i did 3 finite element classes.....the last one was the easiest......since it was all in SAP2000. the first two were bitches tho with all the hand calcs......... they were the worst in redundant suport systems... space frame with 18 ridgid fixed support points.......
