One thing I always remember from my dreams is the architecture around me, and more often that not, the buildings look pretty awesome. Maybe I'm in the wrong field of study?
that also happens to me. the buildings don't always necessarily look awesome, but i can always recall with vivid detail exactly how my surroundings (buildings, rooms, streets, etc) looked in dreams.
i've tried to draw places that i've seen in dreams... but it never has quite the same effect.
In one of my dreams, there was a "building" made of people and cars just floating in the air.
The people were talking to one another like nothing was out of the ordinary. Then the "building" started leaning and it fell, causing blood and guts to fly as the people smashed into the pavement.

The first time I had a lucid dream everything went black...like the lights shut off (which is where I'd normally wake up), and when I realized what was going on things slowly started to materialize/get lit up as I imagined them in front of me.
It was kind of scary actually.

Question for everybody:
If you're in a dark room in your dream and you try to turn the lights on, does it work?
It never has for me. Either the lights won't turn on at all, or they "burn out" right as they turn on, leaving the room dark.

that's one of the tests you're supposed to do to figure out if you're lucid dreaming.
i can't ever recall turning lights on or off in any of my dreams.

I can continue dreams after I've woken up.
I can have lucid dreams, really awesome.
I'm fucking weird though. 2 days ago something really funny happened in my dream so I was laughing my ass off. That's when I woke up, but I just kept on laughing, because it was so fresh in my mind and still funny. After a while I fell back to sleep.
I must have looked insane. Suddenly waking up laughing like a madman, then falling asleep again.
