you probably ate some indian food that had been made for the western taste. genuine indian food is amazing.
maybe you should stick to your boring steak and chips.

even some of the britdian dishes are good
balti being the best , tikka masala being poor though
although i went to a goa'n resturant and the dish i got (which was recommend by the waiter) was top notch curry
Never cared much for indian food - or for that matter, any food that relies on excessive spice to give an impression of flavor. Spice is to be subtle.

Indian food gives me the absolute worst shits. Taco Bell can't compete.
I work with a lot of indians, no matter where I go - it's a nature of IT job. Thank god we don't have microwaves on every floor at this job, unlike every other place I worked at before. It spares us at lunch time. They heat up their shit and it reminds me of my childhood - when we lived upstairs from indian family. It reeked to high heavens.
At times I was wondering if they were cooking or trying to summon the dieties. FUCKING NASTY.
And I partially agree with a comment about food making Indian's stinky. They stink because the shit they eat AND because they shower once a year and don't believe in any fucking deodorants or colone. Nothing is worse than riding an elevator full of indians after lunch. The BO is unbearable. Fucking stinky bastards

Are we playing generalisation-generalisation today? And is that why you have no flag in your avatar?

This is completely untrue. They make the restaurant stuff more bland so that people will actually eat it...It knocked my socks off and she supposedly had made it less spicey because I had come to dinner!
Depends...What they usually offer in Indian restaurants is Punjabi food. This type of cuisine comes from Northern India. It's usually a lot spicier than what we make at home.

That has something to do with stinky people?
And the call-centre generalisation is with Indian call centre employees, not Indians as a whole.

I love it. There are many different styles depending on the area the dish comes from, pretty much the same for most countries.
My student life meals simply rotated between indian, chinese and italian, the one great thing about British food/cuisine is that it seems we have incorporated and assimilated most foods, nothing beats a curry though after a night out!
