There are many oldschool emulations on here, and at first I doubted it, till I tested them and, now my tunes are sounding better than ever. Whether or not they are accurate emulations, they still sound great IMO.

Have Fun

Ps- The Distressor emulator is the 2nd to last one on the page.

eek... i rekon these are all made in Synthedit.

hehehe.... cool Gui's and whatnot, but the problem with Synthedit compiled .dlls is that theyre somewhat flakey, and the code is not at all optimized, the chunky .dll size says it all.

the sound is "okay" to my ears, for what it's worth, but i was already a tad skeptical to see 39 gift plugs "modelled" after these comps. and as i've suspected they were created / compiled in synthedit, one can't really build a fairly precise circuit model in that environment im afraid.

but! the dood means well, and if you find em useful.. then why the hell not!

*** my bad, Antress made these plugins with Synthmaker, formerly synthedit. ... same applies tho.

but to add some contruction to the comp topic.... Voxengo would come highly reccomended, really great processors (marquis comp is awesome for a standard issue bus comp) and the price is totally right.

Like I said, I didn't know if they are accurate emulations or not, as I do not own the original hardware. But, that being said, whether it was cause I got excited or what, I dunno, but, my kicks and percussion is sounding better than it ever has. As far as a compressor that is not free, my favorite is Fab Filters Pro-C. It has optical, classic, and clean modes, plus sidechain, and sounds great to me. Price is a little hefty for some I would imagine though. But with them Antress plugs, even the eq's sound pretty sweet to my ears. I have heard many great plugs that were made on synthedit. I mean look at Lennar Sylenth1, that synth sounds the business. Anyways, its not always what you pay for, its how you use it.

Well if it sounds good for me then, obviously I and/or the plugins are doing something right? no? And obviously you have not learned anything about synthedit if you have not tried it. Also if you look on the Antress plugins page, it says, at least for some of them, and I quote "* Special Edition is programing with new signal processing algorithms".I don't know why I am even defending the plugins, I was just trying to help people out if they never tried them. And I am not 100% sure, but, I believe with synthedit or synthmaker, you are not limited to their coding, I am pretty sure I read that if you know how to code, the program lets you do so. Like I said not 100% sure about that last comment, I read lots of production material, gets hard to remember it all sometimes.

you can get analog /hardware sounds with some vsts but this is for another thread thats been rehashed oh so many times ,but again with some patience and hard work you can get the sound your after in soft synths.

then again sometimes you wont want a hardware sound you may want something futuristic /digital sound like in the matrix or blade movies.
