This was my very first v-fest and let me tell you...if next year's line-up will be anything like this years...I'm definitely going again.
I didn't end up going to the Bacardi stage b/c the main reason I wanted to go was to see Oasis (kind of sad that I missed Moby though) so I didn't really want to give up my spot which was front and right.
Anyway, got to the island around 445...and missed the Weakerthans... But got to see Matt Costa at the TD stage and he was pretty good with the guitar (I like his vocals...esp. when he sang one of his last songs acappella).
I was pretty much at the Virgin stage afterwards and to my surprise enjoyed all the acts before Oasis...
Silversun Pickups - I really liked dig their grunge style but the songs with the screaming vocals ...that bass chick played really well...and the drummer...he was absolutely bonkers...loved it!
Stereophonics - I really liked their retro-british rock style...their ballads were really good too...but didn't really stay around for their entire act...I'll definitely check them out next time they're here...
Paul Weller - wow. No wonder people call him a legend. A mix of 60-70s rock with a bit of flare.
Oasis - aside from the whole attack on Noel, I'm glad I got to hear them live and sing along (notably 'Don't Look Back on Anger', 'Wonderwall' and 'Cigarettes and Alcohol')...I wished 'Don't Look Back on Anger' was played on piano, but Noel on his guitar...wow <3
And yeah, if anyone should have been attacked on stage, it should've been Liam...he's such a diva, seriously.
