A spider just landed on my foot while I was reading this thread.
I fucking... HATE spiders. I don't mind the daddy long legs... its those tiny jumping ones that really get to me. When you try to whack them, they jump... but not away from you. They come right at you!

I haven't read any responses so this may have already been said. But to answer your question... Yes, you got it right, it was the wet weather this year.

Wet weather results in more insects, such as flies, which are food for spiders.

More food for spiders mean more spiders survive longer to multiply.

More spiders to multiply means more spiders.

This will continue until the food supply is strained and then there will be a mass dying-off of spiders.

Geography, grade 10, biatch.
