The hooker comment came up because the guy I know spent 10k on a vacation and it was doom in the first place because she only think of him as a friend. I'm sure any guy here has spend money on a girl for dating. Taking them out to eat and a show is not free you know....LOL

The most unattractive thing is when a guy makes a big deal of money.

If we're on a date and he pays for dinner, then I will usually buy coffee after or dessert or whatever else we're doing after.

I was once out with a guy friend and he actually split the bill in half, like: "ok Ania so we owe $32.20 each" ***BARFS***

The main thing is for it not to be noticed. One of my HUGEST pet peeves is when a guy will make a big show of paying for something.
i.e. a sweeping hand gesture and "Nooo nooooooo (pause) *I* got it"
or when it's almost time to pay and he whips out his credit card prematurely and holds it out for way too long before the cashier/waiter takes it.

When my bf and I were on our first date, we went to Starbucks and we were so deep into our conversation on the way out that I paid for everything and neither of us noticed til like a week later.
