Mang, what a crazy fun night!!
Got there a tad after 11 and the place was already nice and full!!
Randy Boyer did a great job opening up for Darude. Having seen Darude start off rather progressive in the past, was wondering if Randy maybe got a bit too energetic, but NOPE!!!
Darude came on and played a GREAT set. Lots of great prog-trance. And it never got stale...
Yes, he played a remix of Sandstorm but he put it in the set at the perfect time and it didn't stop the momentum of his set....which was bangin!
Oh, watchout for Darude and his productions. He played a couple new tracks of his last night (I think Randy helped him produce them? not sure....Darude would get on the mic and tell the audience) and man they sounded great. One of them I REALLY REALLY want. Darude, I accept promos lol.
Was great to see Taj again. Haven't rally been in town on Saturday nights at all really in the last two months or so I would say and haven't been able to stop by Ten15 (will be there next Saturday if I'm not in LA though!). He came out and Bang Bang Bippity Bang. I honestly didn't hear enough of it to give a proper impression. What I did hear was great, though!
I got scammed into thinking we were going to someone's place in Daly City, where I could just catch a bus to right near my place starting at 6am from the Daly City Bart Station, but nooooo....end up in San Mateo...lol. I ended up playing Lyndsay's CDs for 4 hours. You prob don't care, but it was actually my first time really using CDJs...Well since like 2001, but those weren't even Panasonic CDJs. I think I did OK. Probably better than most people who are starting up a CDJ for the first time (and have no vinyl experience). I actually really, really liked playing with CDs. Damnit, someone buy me some CDJs!
Anyway, super fun night. The music was great. The crowd was real good and very energetic, and everyone just had good vibes in the place. Was nice to see most people out and having fun together. Haven't been able to do that in awhile.
