Imu, I wouldn't be so quick to say its dead...go to Elevate in New Haven (inside Alchemy), that club is always playing house music. In Stamford, CT, there is GRAND, which always plays house. In fact, if you want, I could go with you; I am always up for meeting new TA's and I get cheap drinks at GRAND.

i know about elevate...i've DJd there before...and yeah ur right the resident there is a ridiculous DJ...but even there u find him having to play cheesy house...though he does mix stuff up really well! I'll try check out Grand...but elevate is closer (hehe)...so if ur ever in new haven let me know!!!

try "girl talk" their albums have a lot of interesting mash ups between edm and hip hop i think their tracks are a perfect way to lead one into another
