I know, right? Cause while trance is totally all about PLUR and going on a journey, hip hop is like bang bang I'ma kill some mark ass tricks.

but to attempt to say that there is no "emotion" and "elements" in hip hop is just plain ignorant. there's plenty of that in the genre - just gotta weed through the bullshit.

I fear for this game.
The only people I would actually trust up front with a DJ game like this is Harmonix. To say they least, the are the best developer of music games right now, period.
On their list?
Frequency (PS2) *Awesome game, with a great all around soundtrack. Lots of EDM*
Amplitude (PS2) *Sequel to Frequency. MOre focused on the mainstream market with its track selection, but still solid nonetheless*
Karaoke Revolution *bunch of them*
Guitar Hero
Guitar Hero 2
GH Rocks the 80s
---Left developing for Activision, signed with EA & MTV Games, and have developed...__
Rock Band
Rock Band II
Current project is a Beatle's based game.
They have done a solid job with a lot of their game. I LOOOVE Frequency. Just the music selection in it...it's awesome. While it's a rip off of Konami's Guitar Freaks in Japan, they started the whole Guitar Hero revolutoin...then went on to expand that into Rock Band after they departed development of stuff for Activisoin.
They have people on their team who know electronic music. THey have a solid background and even their worst stuff is steal very good for what it is.
This is not say that whoever is developing DJ Hero won't do a great job...just that I'd be confident up front if it were Harmonix, which it is most def not.

That is true, but he never even said that - he said the emotion/elements are nothing like each other.

ahh. then i misinterpreted and i apologize. however i think there are similar elements between the two genres. emotion too. in certain instances anyway - here's one:
