Victory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It turns out it WAS the csacontrol.exe process. I used the Process Explorer program you told me to download from sysinternals.com to kill it and voila! Downloading the shit out of the internets at the moment.

Only downside is that when I reboot, the process is not automatically restarted and it is essential for the VPN client to work. So I added a link to it on my desktop so I can start it again easily whenever I actually need to connect to my office network. Then, all I have to do is kill it using the Process Explorer app. It's more work than what I had to do earlier, but such is life.

Thanks a lot for your help Ben! You certainly know your shit!

So, you see Kinetic...it was nowhere near impossible and Ben IS the shit

Ahh well I now know that to watch out for that next time I am on the Cisco VPN client. Which probably won't be anytime soon.

And BTW, don't forget about that site. SysInternals was recently purchased by Microsoft, but the apps the guy made, are fucking AWESOME. They are integral for me when I am trying to diagnose a problem. Process Explorer and AutoRuns are the two most used apps on there for me. Others include Registry Monitor and Disk Monitor. They both monitor changes to the registry and filesystem.

Yeah, surfed around there for a while and it is an awesome collection of useful apps.

Since you were already on the Cisco VPN client once and this wasn't the problem then probably this is a slightly modified version designed to work that way just for our company. They tend to spend a lot of money on stupid little customized versions of mass produced software.
