I dont understand why mark has to play cheesier stuff bcuz of the crowd or watever. The majority of the crowd at guv nowadays dont give a damn whats being played... their all drunk, high, and puke all over the place.. WHY CANT MARK OLIVER PLAY LIKE ARMIN?? the crowd i just mentioned will go crazy anyways, regardless of how good or bad the music is.. they are at the guv bcuz they think its cool to go clubbing until 10/11 am. only some people are there for the music

If this is true then why does it matter what mark plays? If people are there to get high and club till morning then he could be playing the macarena without consequence right?

A good dj doesnt just play for himself, he plays for the crowd. Especially when it's an extremely diverse, large crowd. This is why even your heros like armin sometime play differently from what you heard the last time around. A lot of these guys are professionals because they know exactly how to gauge the crowd and play accordingly.

dead on jay, and fyi armin is the number 1 dj because he plays the cheese, plays to the crowd, and tours almost everyday, everywhere. Keep in mind NYE is rookie night.

if he plays macarena, everyone except me and probably most of TA's ( people who are there for music ) will probably get impatient and might leave the room if mark keeps playing macarena after macaerena. Yes i agree totally. But once again, i want to argue that mark oliver doesnt seem to be like that anymore. Ive seen mark plenty of times, i have enjoyed some of his sets with the "exact" same crowd!!! what happened now? the crowd changed?
