Heh. 'Post-jaded' is a bit of a joke, but it does fit the mentality to a degree. I find the cliche epic melodic stuff doesn't annoy me quite as much as it used to, but that may be due to some of the current trends in trance (corny 'electro' attitudes, wank 'minimalism', overdone sidechaining, teary-eyed male singers... oh, but I could go on) are just so much worse.
Of course, it helps that I have my own little corner of the web to vent my grievances, rather than hurl them at unsuspecting bright-eyed trance fans fresh from the Greatest Moment Of Their Life (re: just popped their first pill at the local massive where John O'Callaghan was headlining).
