i think live acts are a hit or miss.
i personally hate all live acts in dance clubs and/or massives.

offer + ana = gay crowd
axwell = italians / young 20s / me i bro
deadmau5 = people that think they are too cool for trance/prog but secretly stiill love it (plus hes so sponsored and commercialized, no brainer)
victor calderone = ex stereo heads
there you have the breakdown of the house rooms crowd

Well said , that's a good analysis.

and they sprinkle the finished product with locals representing Redlite and Circus.. formula is pretty easy.

Lots of women love Axwell too and lots of 17/18 year old kids getting started into edm love deadhouse

I say add another local like DJ Lift subtract deadmau5, Axwell and Offer, move Victor up in timeslot and get him to energize his old Stereo following with some good tracks and go bold with a different headliner or two.

WMC is maybe a week or so before BeB 16 so that could possibly make it easier for a decent dj or two from there to add BeB to his/her tour.

HAHA. nyc books a lot of amazing techno artists...a lot more than in montreal. ive never been there to party and i know of the Wolf + Lamb parties, the bunker, deep space parties, on n on. but then again if you go to bal en blanc all the way from nyc you must have a different idea of techno

lol no, Im not dumb, I know what techno is. I love most of the genres, I am not roo picky. I have no problem going from armin to victor and workin it out on both dancefloors.

And as mentioned before, we have great talent, very few options in terms of venue. And trust me, if you went to a place like Love or whatever, you would understand that venue *does* affect your mood/vibe for the night.....Most of the time, the only good techno parties are in Brooklyn, and I refuse haul my ass all the way to brooklyn...too far!! I complain about nyc merely because I would like a more complete package.....but yes, I do agree we get plenty of talent, just no where good to put them!

lol most people in manhattan dont have cars. I got rid of mine after realizing that it wasnt worth looking for parking on avergage 1+ hour a day or paying $30 a day in a garage.

In the weekday, it would only take 40 minutes to the first part of Brooklyn. But on the weekend (for example) going to Studio B in the middle of the night takes about 2 hours. (have to switch THREE trains, all running local, and the final train runs every half an hour at night....night mare!!) My friend who lives in the bronx (which is even further from brooklyn) left a Minitek after party and got home in 2 hours, 40 minutes.
