I was going to say the exact opposite.. I thought the new star wars films were shit primarily because of the rubbish script. there was a recent anime adaptation that was phenomenal to say the least. Gankutsuou

futuristic-punk with some of the most ingenious animation i've seen in a while. highly recommended.
