over & over again, my friend and I were in the main room going crazy & being amazed that there weren't more people. Ali & Adam are great guys. Adam mashes samples up like they're potatoes; could barely keep up with his set. it was brilliant. Ali threw down a high-energy set; I unfortunately only caught the first half. the Cave's a small place with lots of heart behind the decks-- Z! love you! <3 lots of good music in there. our own Ali (Mahmud)'s closing set yanked all my friends out of the Cave back into the main room; he knows how to end on a high note.

Props to Mid-Atlantic for all their work & many thanks for the opportunity to plonk this tiny hyper Asian behind the decks for the first time; the Love staff were on point as always. thanks to friends old & new for your support & encouragement! <3

Both Adam and Ali are amazing djs and producers, but I can see how they might fly under the radar of the a lot of NYC's club crowd. Unlike some of other big-named trance djs, you have to be REALLY into trance music to know who they are. Casual trance fans could very easily overlook them because they don't have really recognizable names yet.

Either way, props to Mid-Atlantic for taking the gamble and bringing in two very fresh faces. Maybe in a year or two they will have enough of a US following to have them back at some point.

Hm, crazy? I may have seen you in there. I was among the few who went enthusiastically nuts in the main room, but most people were still lingering in the corner and the cave when I left relatively early for the airport. Sorry to hear it was like that for most of the night, especially since it was a sick set (if my weak memory serves me -- the only specific track I remember is Dakota -- Sin City :P).

Good times, although the intoxicated folks doing acrobatics and calisthenics dangerously close to the ledge of fraggle rock made me nervous.

yeah, that kind of set deserved a bigger crowd. You must've been one of the five or six intrepid souls actually not wallflowering before 1 I was the dork doing pirouettes in the middle of the room around midnight -- just because there was that much space. It filled up a bit more later on, but you could still walk around without really squeezing between people (if you were sober enough).
