Security put out the worst vibe ever. Those REPEATED announcements reminded me of grade school monotony. DO NOT blah blah blah.

There was a time where boats left early and on time and if you weren't there too bad for you. Mind you, it's a lot easier for that to happen when the boat is sold out way ahead of time. Flying in a DJ to headline a boat is a riskier proposition promo wise. Now, factor in all the other cruises happening in a given month, numbnuts who get too fucked up, our unpredictable Toronto weather this summer, higher cruise prices (compared to years ago), boats that don't leave on time and it's no surprise ppl feel they're not getting their money's worth. Promoters are at the whim of the boat/security, the boat ppl are worried about losing their liquor license/having cops board the ship (because of numbnuts), and the patrons are left wondering who to be pissed off at.

It's a sad state of affairs, but ultimately, the numbnuts are to blame.

(Yes, that's my word of the day)

Yeh.

Myself I've never done the boatcruise jam expcept for one on my bday years ago that some TAs threw which was awesome. I just have to keep an eye out for what the new 'thing' to do is. I'm guessing patio parties like that one at the Green Room for G's going away...

yeah. i think this was definitely the last summer for boat cruises at least for me. unless they are private affairs on tiny boats for like 30 people.

thanks g-outing fuckfaces.

but not to take away from the weekend. i had a great time on the boat, eventho there wasn't too many people. demi's tunes were great! please come back soon. tryst was also really fun and i think that patio area is really cool space.

The boat cruises are sketch, I don't care which way you look at it. Everyone razzed me for staying away bc of my impression of the crowd, but after having finally been on one (that apparently wasn't that bad! -HA) I have to say there were no surprises, the crowd was as brutal as I had pictured. I was stone cold sober the entire time and couldn't believe my eyes - ick.

Glad someone who was supposed to be the main guest of the whole event spoke up.

OMG that made me LOL!

Anyways, im agreeing with lots of what people said here;

security was INSANELY tight, they even took my Ice Breakers gum since it was open and those little cubes of gum could have been "tightly pressed cubes of something else" im not even kidding, this is what she said... sigh. And the searches were a little extreme, although i do thank the nice lady for the grope i got pre boarding.... BUT can you blame them? This summer has been horrible for g outs on boats and these people are on this boat all weekend every weekend and, like all of us, they are really sick of it.... so ya THANKS GING OUT FUCKFACES

The not serving before we got moving was a piss off for sure! I was quite upset to see all the hardwork i put in drinking in the parking lot go to waste since i couldnt continue drinking... not sure whats with this rule. The chick on the bar downstairs said this has been a rule on the boat forever but was just never really enforced.... why now?

Other then that tho the boat was awesome! The weather cooperated and the day turned out to be gorgeous! The crowd on this boat was amazing! Everyone was there to party, laugh, dance and have a good time and because of this the vibe was great!!! OH and carlo's set made me a happy girl

we've done many cruises on the gambler and this is the first time this has happened to us. I understand where the boat's coming from. They've had a lot of issues with some events, but what happened on Sunday was just ridiculous. They started boarding 30 minutes late, and then we sat there for 30 minutes after everyone had boarding and with no alcohol being served. Never have i seen this happen before on that boat, and I've been on there probably 40 times and done about 20 cruises on there myself over the last 7 years. Before this Sunday the latest we'd left dock was only 15 minutes after the scheduled time. We're as upset about this as everyone else. It makes US look bad even if we had no control over it.

Aside from the boarding fiasco, the cruise was wonderful and the crowd was up for it and very well behaved, as always on out cruises. *sigh*
