Fantastic work, man. An epitome of where I'm at musically. All criticism I can offer is the transition into the Sprinkles track was little awkward but in no way did it ruin it for me. Rad stuff.
edit: oh, and Rene is a killer. Get that shit released NAO.
Too many to list lol, mostly because I borrow a bit from a bunch of different people I've seen play like this, notably, Danny Howells, Jan Krueger, Shaun Reeves. Really though I don't hear that many people playing like this, I sort of just look for music a little all over the place that fits this vibe. Opening that rooftop during the day has been great for me to explore this type of set as it doesn't really work at night.

That's shouldn't be too much of a headache, it's really good. If anything start with a smaller label and work your way up, seems like you have potential in the studio and plenty of hook ups. Was it mostly sampled?

Yep it relies rather heavily on the main samples, which are from a jazz track from a french film score from the 60s. Its not really a finished product to me which is why I haven't been crazy about releasing it.

This is superb. Only things I didn't like much were tracks 5, 14 and... Rene. Don't take it personally on Rene, it's very well done, I'm just not much into remakes of 1920s french folk.
The best thing about this is that it gave me some leads into more music which is just as good. Can't believe I never knew about those old Moodymann tunes! Got me into exploring more the Mark E catalog too and that's some class stuff going on there.

Auto-beatmatching does not guarantee that everything will sound perfect
i don't know a single DJ that uses auto beatmatching on Traktor. Im sure there are some but id like to think Djs in my realm use it for other reasons. The BPM readout is useful in making beatmatching faster if you use it, but it's not always precise and relying on it will get you in trouble sooner or later
beatmatching is half the fun. Do it yourself and use Tarktor for accessing your whole music collection, looping on the fly and wicked special effects.

I cant imagine anyone successfully using auto beatmatching without shit eventually skipping around and wrecking. Unless they are mixing easy to mix percussive heavy tech house or minimal, it might be possible...but I do not trust auto beatmatchin on Traktor at all, especially not on Traktor 1, which is what I use currently. Maybe if you sat there and tested two tracks mixing into eachother a few times and you have a set memorized in this way, then it might work, but who does that for hundreds of tracks? lol
Althought Traktor makes beatmatching easier, there is still some finesse involved with getting things to beatmatch properly. Sometimes I think mixing Vinyl or CDs is easier than Traktor, you dont have to worry about those erratic skips when the locked beatmatch goes haywire, but then again nothing beats Traktor's accessibility.
