my mom has always looked great and takes care of herself but she doesn't shop in the juniors department, thank god.

you're right, this IS a social networking site but i still think it's different than every 10 minutes on facebook updating. at least here there are interesting topics of conversation like religion and philosphy and then there's the dumb shit too like jay v. jenny.

but yea, i guess the random thread is sort of equivalent to facebook status updates.

well sometimes it helps to just write shit out lol at least for me. i dont always need a response, it just feels good getting shit off my chest on here. i love TA. i guess i feel like this is easier than facebook. i have my parents and stuff on facebook, i'll leave the emo "what should i do" stuff for you guys i probably secretly like the abuse here. i must.

If I were her boss, and I saw her like that, I personally wouldn't mind. She's not part of my company during her leisure time and, I'd probably have hired her because of her knowledge and skills.

The reason why I'm debating with you about it is because it is a pet peeve of mine as well. There's no such thing as "dressing your age". Some of the most authentic colleagues of mine dress up in a way that would strike some as too young for their age, but they look awesome because they're happy with the way they look. That's what matters.

what can i say? it's one of the few social pressures i adhere to.

i just think there's a time in your life for certain types of fashion and there is a lot of stigma attached to outfits like hers....SLUTTINESS. the whole "tee hee i'm a little school girl". she's wearing that for sexual attention and i'm absolutely going to judge her for it. espcially because i know her and i know how obnoxious and superficial and slutty she really is lol


my mom used to be work friends with this lady her age and once in a while they'd go out for drinks and my mom would always come home and we'd make fun of her hysterically laughing. she was in her 50s and had a horribly flabby figure and wore mid drift tops and a fucking belly chain and bell bottom jeans and she was a MORON. lol it has to do with not wanting to accept your age, at least for women.

that chick i posted the picture of doesn't even have her date of birth on her facebook. trust me, she wants everyone to think she is still 22. it's retarded and weak to me.

also, this lawyer who shared office space with my old boss was in his late 40s/early 50s and would show up wearing those skater sneakers and jeans and an "Element" shirt and we would all make fun of him. he had a girlfriend who was only 30 and we'd always be like, "nice outfit, she dressed you today didnt she". he looked like a tool trying to recapture his youth and keep up with his young girlfriend.

Absolutely. There's no right to wear anything, only social acceptability. It's a persons choice what they want to wear. Whether that negatively effects their life due to their location, well...that's their problem.
