I live in Nashville, Tennessee. Quite possibly the worst place in the world to live and love my types of music. I'd be better off in Alaska.

You're mistaking me for the person who made this sweeping generalization thread, a thread that is not ideal discussion here to begin with.

It really does depend on the girlies !

When i was at college and uni studying music technology there where loads of girlies studying it also. Most of them where either in a band, sung or business minded.

Also in psytrance there are loads of female listeners and quite a few producers.

My gf is classically trained in piano, understands electronic engineering, loves nothing better than to solder, has a HND in Music Technology and is now at this very moment making her first tune with me.

SO i dont see what it is that your saying, although i also understand i am in a very unique place.

I also have to state that her father is an Engineer and she spent lots of time being interested in what he was doing when she was younger, now she has similar types of interests, although she loves girly things also, like knitting :O

A final note, she has 2 older sisters who never paid any attention to what her engineer father was doing and neither of them like dance music, 1 is a fashion designer and the other is a dancer/music composer/singer/songwriter so take from that what you will.

Mark

Looser than the girls at euro, top 40 and reggae events, obviously. Those ones are really hard to get into bed. You need to buy them like, 4 vodka cranberries, sometimes 5.

originally posted by Diginut I can actually think of one good reason why so many women aren't that into trance music or producers: they're probably accustomed to the scene being full of hyper-introverted anti-social boys who have these weird warped stereotypical, borderline-misogynystic ideas about girls, and who stubbornly maintain this bizarre pretense of a deep love affair with the music when in reality they're just really high and/or afraid to socialize.

God damm! you may have a point! perhaps

I believe they were poking fun, not misunderstanding it.
