Agassi is/was my favourite men's tennis player... love him.

Cannot wait to read his autobiography! Considering all that he is now to the sport of tennis, and how rebelious he was in his tennis youth, i think his bio is going to be just facinating as hell! Promises to be a very interesting read im sure

-tongue in cheek, sarcastic humour ridden opinions of a Canadian nationalist. I didn't agree with all of his points, but he got me think about what Canada is, and what is to be a Canadian from political, cultural and social context

Byzantium by Stephen Lawhead
-randomly picked up historical fiction. the back cover says something about Irish monk going to Byzantium during medieval times and killing bunch of things. sounds interesting

Unexpected War: Canada in Kandahar by Eugene Lang and Janice Gross-Stein
-you want to know why Canada is in Afghanistan? these two poli sci profs tell a good story about how Canada ended up in that hell hole, with insights from key political and military POVs. pretty well written and mostly unbiased.

-always interesting quotes to get me thinking. being a bit of believer in stoicism, his words ring true to me, most of the time

-trying to understand Muslims require reading of their sacre text. more to understand how the Islamic fundamentalists are twisting Qu'ran for their own purposes
