From sheer observation I notice that most gravitate to trance upon discovering electronica. I also followed this path as I too was a trance-cracker at the beginning. As long as trance was involved, I hit it up.
But eventually, as I became more exposed, house music took over.
I speak to so many noobs and all you hear is...."wow Tiesto-Armin-PVD" is coming, are you going? Mention any house DJs (Guetta doesn't count) and they get this blank, ,almost confused, look on their face. But this is normal as trance seems to be all about showmanship and DJ-worship.
But don't tell me as one gets older or exposed over a longer period of time, that they don't gravitate towards house music. I guess I was equating aging to musical maturity. I apologize if I implied that trance is for those with immature tastes. But you can't deny that they is a correlation with the different genres and the crowd each attracts.
