Thoughts on this trend? Do you make a point of having leisurely and home-cooked meals? Or have you too given in to the tide of McDonald's?

Mc Donalds in the US =/= Mc Donalds in France.

Our biggest size for drinks, fries, is the smallest in the US.

And now they are trying to be a bit classier (new logo in Europe: , new restaurants with more bio food, etc.)

what i hate about mcdonald's is the lack of selection. it's all a bunch of variations of the same cheeseburgers or chicken sandwich (though i suppose the same could be said for almost every fast food joint). and they don't serve just a typical bacon cheeseburger. wtf.

It's an European (marketing) policy to show that they are green, and usually, green means more expensive...

If you add the fact they are revamping their restaurants you can see an obvious upselling strategy.

deep fried chickpea balls, pretty much. they're tasty, but not something i'm REALLY fond of.

Looks like kibe... can I choose the filling? I think it'd be tasty with cheese.

Falafel is amazing!

My girlfriend and I both love to cook so most of our meals take 1 hour + and taste delicious!

i rarely eat fast food (except on lunch, and usually ill just get like a falafel or a slice of pizza). when i go out to eat it usually takes 1-2 hours depending on the conversation/company and the size of the meal.

What the hell are you making man?
I can make quite healthy and filling meals in 30 minutes, or a bit over an hour if baking is involved.

Speaking of McDonalds, do you guys have McCafe and Healthy Choices in your local Maccers? They have them here and they are surprisingly quite good. Still fast food but far better than the usual junk.
