What kind of DVD player software do you guys like the most?
Not sure how much private tracker use you have, but Vuze is being banned by a lot of them.
As for DVD playing software, I use WMP. In Win7 you don't need extra software for most video formats any more.

I mostly use Vuze for tv shows, nothing more. I use Usenet for the rest.
I have a new pc since 3 days, my first use of Windows 7 ever (never even used Vista before) and I haven't got around to watching dvds yet.. think I'll go experimenting tomorrow. Let's see if WMP suits my needs. I used AVS DVD player before, which was satisfying enough.

I have a usenet account. lol I need to use it more than I do.
As for DVDs, I know it plays them. It was something I found out by accident. Pretty much all the common formats play. Including MOV files.

It basically just works for us here at work. The only thing that will suck, is if you want to stream HD content, you must use Gbit or 802.11N, since none of the others have enough bandwidth to do HD. Unless you are okay starting it, pausing it for about 30 minutes to buffer a large chunk of data, and then starting to watch.
Tried it this weekend over wifi and it was pretty easy to set up and configure. Watched 3:10 to Yuma 720p mkv just fine and then i was trying to play with VLC to stream files w/ subtitles (couldn't get it to work)
Then I realized PS3 media server supports subtitles, started watching IP man. For some reason it lagged more than 3:10 to Yuma even thought it was only a dvd rip. Will play with it more this coming weekend.
thanks gehz...nice seeing you post again.

No problem! We had to mess with some of the things, but we don't experience any lag unless 1080P since we have it wired. PS3 needs to support 802.11N.
