I like that my n00b DEMF thread is still going.

I'm overly excited about DEMF. I get dizzy spells whenever I look at the line ups. It's better than the best wish list I could ever come up with.

And now allow me a digression about Chicago...

I cannot believe I'm seeing Chicago again. It's been 9 years since I moved. I'm not going near any clubs while I'm there. The plan is to hang out with my friends in Humboldt Park & Logan Square and drink Maker's and beer in darkened bars.

For culture, I want to check out the MCA & I want to see the new modern art wing of the Art Institute. People have been talking to me about Millenium Park and the bean sculpture. It doesn't sound impressive. I want to hang out by the Picasso & Miro sculptures by City Hall. Maybe, I'll finally do the architecture boat tour...tix seemed to always be sold out.

I hear that Bite next to the Empty Bottle is still open. I want to see if the food/atmosphere has held up in the last decade. It's a crime about what happened to Tuman's Alcohol Abuse Center. Outdoor seating? Blech.

If anybody has recommendations for lazy (and dirt cheap) Chicago activities, please let me know.

Humboldt Park, yeah? Hope you're packin' heat.

Also Cloudgate is super touristy and probably sounds overhyped but it actually is pretty cool to see in person.

Yeah, seriously. In previous years, there was even a separate forum for DEMF. What happened?
