This is just another rule to add to the pile of the constant stream of new bylaws and rules that are making Toronto and Ontario more and more of a boring place to live. Whether that be a ban on new bars on Ossington or in the Entertainment District, this new bylaw, strict new AGCO rules on boat cruises, or mandatory beer gardens at concerts, as a young professional, I feel like what I do for fun is being attacked at all angles by older people who have unrealistic demands on how quiet our city should be, and how we should have fun "safely".

Toronto is Canada's largest city. It should be loud, boisterous and lively. Of course people should have the right to live peacefully, but I think there is way too much weight put on the wants, demands, and so-called needs of self-centered NIMBY homeowners. If they want absolute peace and quiet, they should move to a remote area of Ontario. Catering to these demands as much as we are is ruining our city, and is quite frankly making me reconsider whether I want to live here. I feel that more and more people in my age group are starting to reconsider whether "Toronto the Good" (re: Toronto the Boring) is where they want to establish themselves.

lol didn't know what Nimby was so I wikipedia'd it.

Also found this:

BANANA
BANANA is an acronym for Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything (or Anyone).[6][7] The term is most often used to criticize the ongoing opposition of certain Advocacy groups to land development.

Jay that one's for you. Banana!

He shouldn't be the only one voicing his opinion. Any one of you, or all for that matter, whom live in TDot should do the same.

I've been saying this for the past couple of years. We need some sort of a Mafia in this city to take control of these douches at City Hall...

That's a restaurant that's already built.

Apparently this only applies to new places.
