1. Prog everything is dead. Prog house, prog rock, prog thinking. "It was an ugly tree, anyway. At least it's out of its misery."
2. House, and then Techno will be the last two genres to fully get hit, since they're the two most dissimilar to previously exploited 'genres,' sharing less in common in terms of speed, nature and frequency of sampling, rhythm, and general composition. Tech-house is already getting butchered by the same people who, unlike some people here, grew out of prog house over the past few years.

1. I wouldn't say progressive is dead. It's just an over used term. Makes it harder to find the real stuff. Just my opinion of course.
2. House has been getting hit by the shrapnel of the commercial massacre of the other genres for years. There's so much cheese house out there. But i'd say there's still tons of good house too. Seems like they can coexist with out one completely saturating the other at this point.
I figure Techno will be the last to feel the brunt. Reason being it was conceived under the notion of modernism. It traditionaly leans towards trying to free itself from the baggage of other forms of music.
So i'd count on it's genetic core standing up to commercialism like superman against a freight train.
