Infact, if for you a track expires with its bassline than there is something wrong with you, not with the track.
U-Recken is one of the best, if not the best, psy trance producer nowadays. His tracks are full of dynamics and variations. Is a trip you never know how it starts and how it ends. I can't say the same for regular trance with the pre-fixed structure on which you simply replace the melody and there you have a "new ch00n" as they call it. |
Funny because you describe todays trance as "farty" and why is that?
Vibrasphere, Whirloop and Solar Fields (especielly Earthshine) are awesome producers, but then agian its not full on psy. They made something good with the genre instead of following the same formula over & over again.

Actually, they just followed the direction of progressive trance and added some psy influence. Just a small tweak to an already existing formula. If you listen to most progressive psytrance these days, you will be more bored than you would be if you listened to full-on. I don't understand how you're not seeing the pattern here yet. |
Actually i found prog psy abit boring except for those i mentioned, but at least they try something new with this genre. And funny you mention progressive trance with psy influences (which i did earlier in this thread), thats pretty much why their music works so well.
