What's up everyone, my reviews coming in a little bit late, I know, but all the same.....
Well I finally made my comeback, after 7 months that was my first time at an after hours, or a party! Was great to see the TA's there representing
I was quite fatigued though, I started drinking at 8 that night, went out to a club at around 12, danced till the clubbed closed, went grabbed some food at Euro Deli ( hmmmmmmmmm....), and started walking down to Aria while eating my food. Luckily I finished eating before it started pouring rain! I was outside in the rain for over an hour, walking to the car to change shoes, waiting for a friend to meet me, those who saw me when I walked in know how wet I was, about the same as having jumped into a pool!
To be honnest, I was dissapointed with Piets set, having listened and watched the rank 1 set from Sensation before leaving my house, it wasn't the style I was expecting. I was hoping to hear a bit of deep trance, and I thought that 100% I was going to hear "such is life", I'm so dissapointed I didn't He played a lot harder then I expected, Zing hmmm hmmmm...... I also didn't find the crowd to have that much energy, I didn't see that many people getting into the music, just looked as if everyone was totally fucked up on drugs, not even high vibing from it. I was very surprised that at some points I was dancing with more energy then majority of people, considering I had already been dancing for 5-6 hours, just wasn't the reaction I was expecting from the crowd.
I thought Michel de Hey played wicked, it was his style and the beats were being kicked out hard, but once again, I was expecting to see a lot more hyped and jumping people, and didn't see the whole crowd getting into it. I can't believe I didn't hear "man overboard", every couple of mins my bro and I would hop up from the bench (my legs got tired and were hurting!) because we heard it being mixed in, then he'd cut to something that sounded just like it. I left mefore he finsihed though, anyone know if he ended up playing it?
I stayed untill 8:15, spent a bit of time in the hiphop room (was easier to dance to when I could hardly move my legs!), all and all had a great time, but I have to say that it was defintely the weakest I've ever seen Aria, I'm looking forward to the next time I go and seeing some redemption from that place!! Hopefully next time I'll have some more energy, and be able to get more into music and dancing.
Good to break the ice though, had some bad luck going on for a while with trying to attend , now I wont be worried about that at least! |
Eli welcome back to the family i agree with you about the fact it was not the "perfect" party to do it , you're not the only one who was disappointed , even peeps at my work were expecting more things , but it's all good . personnaly i think if u did you're come back at Gielen , that would be W I C K E D ... anyways the most important thing is : Eli is here again
