Morning all, had a great night eventually (after muchos travelling) so I'm glad I went in the end. Think I saw everybody eventually, bumped into Mauro trying to find his tent too, but could only manage an "mmmmmpht" in his general direction. Funnily enough he's the only DJ I can remember listening too all night, so dunno what I was doing for the rest of it.

Missed Digweed but my own fault so can't complain. I will anyway though.

Then locating the other TA's and the other 10
people that I came down with who had already gone in . . . .

John 00 Fleming 17:30-19:00
(Not up to his usual standards, but not bad)

Signum 19:00-20:30
(Wow! Never seen live before, that was excellent)

Dumonde 20:30-22:00
(Same as for signum, but dunno what was going on with Zombie Nation?)

Rob Tissera 01:00-01.30
(Good, but not as hard as lab 4)

Fergie 01:30-02:00
(It was just too hot to stay in that tent, getting dripped on)

Attempting to find Boxy (Who came down to GG with me) 02:00 - 02:30

John Kelly 02:30-04:00
(Nice set, different tracks as well)

Mauro Picotto 04:00-05:00
(Not bad, he's getting harder and harder now)

Joy Kitikonti 05:00-05:30
(Not really my cup of tea usually, but made a change)

Johan Gielen 05:30-06:30
(Wicked set, I didn't want to leave for scot project, but got dragged up there for the last 30 minutes anyway.

Scot Project 06:30-07:00
(Perfect as per usual)

What a fuckin night!!

I don't know if I'm bummed cuz the night and all the excitement is over or if I'm still suffering a comedown. I've never been to anything like that. Total overkill of my senses. I tried to see mostly dj's I've never seen. One was signum, and they really blew me away. Mauro Picotto was also wicked, I never knew he playes such hard sets. Oakenfold (considering his status in the dj world) was somewhat dissapointing. Judge Jules and Scot project really got me moving, even though they were some of the latest to go on. Going into the sundissential arena was a good kick in the arse to get me moving, especially lab 4 and lisa lashes I really liked. Marco V was awesome, too bad he was on so early, his set would have been perfect with the light show that came during later sets. Basically floating around the Godskitchen, Gallery, and Sundissential arenas most of the night didn't give me much opportunity to see more of what was going on in Colours and Atomic Jam which I wish I had of paid more attention to...oh well. None the less, a damn wicked experience. I hope to go to the gatecrasher in August and maybe I can meet some of you UKTAs

Well here is my review now that i am half recovered, my mind has recovered, but my body feels like i served in vietnam. I usually start by going on about my train journey, but i will skip that cos i am sick of being on late trains. Just gonna say that my journey took 1 and a half hours more than is should have done and i missed half an hour of marco v. Anyway got into global gathering where i heard 'the mutalistik' so i just followed the sounds and there i was in the main arena with none other than marco v. Met up with the rest of the ta'z, and continued to watch marco v play his socks off to wot was a very small crowd at such an early time in the event.

Next up was 00 fleming who played a similar set to the one at gc white, wot a choon his remix of cafe del mare - stomps all over marco v's mix. I think he is too hell bent on sending the crowd of on a journey and plays average choonz until the last 15 mins where he peaks and played the above along with legato. So the set was pretty average and didn't even touch the quality of marco v. It was then time to leave the main arena and off we went to the gallery where signum where playuing some melodic trance including cura me, the prophet, melodies from the universe and carte blanche. Everybody seemed to dissapear and all that was left was myself, luke, acton and gibbo. We sticked out signums set great set until dumonde.

Dumonde then took up postion behind the decks, but de leon came walking down to the crowd to our right. So I leaned over the railings to see what was going on, he was was having a good little chit chat to ste. Dumonde dropped choons including they start to dance, never look back, zombie nation (brie) and follow me. I was not all that impressed with dumonde's set and much preffered that of ron hagen and pascals m's aka signum. It was then time to escape as tall paul notched down the pitch of dumonde's tune so that his set would not sound to slow and shite in comparison. I am sure this made no difference and as the first couple ofchoonz i heard as walking out were in fact pure swiss emmental and very slow like he was gonna play a funky house set.

Once out of the tent we decided to go and have a look in on oki, but on the way there we heard southern sun (mature cheddar) and decided to get as far away from that arena as possible. So jon and I went to check out the weird ass fountain with the projector, which looked impressive from a distance but quite poor close up. We then hooked up with the rest who were chilling out underneath one of the big ass lasers. These lasers were dead impressive and I found myself lost inside them whenever i looked at them and really struggled to draw my eyes away from them. After sitting round and chatting for a bit it was time to see ferry in the gallery arena. On the way there i discovered i'd been sitting in a pool of beer and had a huge wet ass which was embarrassing.

Ferry played a class set which i well enjoyed dropping choons like, needlejuice, dehab, silver bath and ligaya. He also did an outstanding bit of mixing with three decks to bring in punk. Luke, gibbo, jon, acton, mike and I went to see the last part of armins set where we heard cafe del marco and the prophet for the umpteenth time that day. As fergie started we desperately fought our way out of the arena as hoards of pop music fans entered the arena to catch a glimpse of their chart idol. We tghen went to see the final part of guy ornadel and the beginnning of joh kelly. John kelly seemed to play an original set starting with a9 which i have not heard in years.

After getting jiggy with john kelly for a while our group decided to go and see the last portion of picotto. By this time I was starting to feel knackered, so i sat down to picottos set. I stood up as I thought picotto was finishing in order to make a sharp exit out of the arena. But picotto played on as the fudge packer seemed to be late. Picotto played on and seemed to play stuff that he used to play in 2000 and it really got me going. Tunes like taub and a strange mix of born slippy materialised. But it was not to last long as after half an hour the god of cheese appeared and completey cocked up his start like the cock that he is. So we left for kitikonti in the gallery arena.

Once there kitikonti was blending a range fo tunes with high pitched noises and squeals that seemed to make my ears bleed. We noticed also that tat girl was on stage, apparently she met him in the crowd before hand and started chatting and he invited her up onto stage. Kitikonti played two choons i recognised which were joy don't stop twice and believe in me. Once finished it was gielen time who tat girl also knew after meeting him at miami. Johan Gielen was my dj of the day by far after dropping symsonic. He also played twisted, sensation anthem, dehab and simulated. So the night had ended and the morning started. Big shout out to happy dropper for the chocolate buttons and jon for providing some well needed sandwiches which certainly hit the spot

The morning killed me as we walked like 5 miles to stratford to get trains. But all in all it was the best night of this year and i enjoyed it with all you class ta's.

i dont think ferry actually used three decks, coz one of them broke at the start of dumonde's set so they had to replace it, and they just left the broken one there!

anyway i will try and post my proper review tonight, im still mega messed!!!

Thumbs up

cannot really say much as the night was a blur, but it rocked to say the least. spent all night in the atomic jam arena and the atmosphere was wicked.

i have to say that all aspects gc sss failed on gg put right for my taste anyway.had an excellent night. the main arena seemed a little dead to me did i perceive that right?

ps im never going to wear that f'ing red wig again all the sweat turned my hair to shit.

Wickedness to the third degree..it was great to see you all there and great to see those i hadnt met before. The highlight's for me that night were definately Funk D void and Satoshi Tommii....they do no bad.

Tiesto
Oakenfold
Signum (some of)
John 00 Flemming
SATOSHI TOMMIIE
Digweed(some of)
Sander K
Steve Lawler
FUNK D VOID
UMEK
SLAM

mmmmmmm

You guys were and are all sound. Nice to meet you Timmy and also cool to meet the International crew. it was a good thing Jon S knew his way around BRUM otherwise i would have been completely lost. And MCDONALDS...nasty....how could you guys eat that....but i realised i should of bought something cus i went into "full force" on an empty stomache.

Oh and hear this, i was in the Colors Arena listening to Steve Lawler, then i looked down and up again and he looked like he was wearing a surgeons mask and Hospital outfit, and there was smoke coming from this drill he had in his hand which he was touching the vinyl with, but then i realised i was just seeing things..It just freaked me out actually. Yo Jeffy Booy, ill bring up a duplicate of those sunglasses next time we meet up which i hope will be soon, maybe when Gate Crasher monthly is on...date anyone? Oh and that walk from GG to Stratford was a bitch.....my leg was killin me, but it was all good. Thnx for carrying me bag Paddy :P Flash Images that ill remember from GG are:

Acton "EJIT"
Steve Lawler in a surgeons mask
and not being able to understand Jon Simmonds silly Southerner Accent on the cell. Yo TATgirl were you able to find your "Sweets"? And who was that other girl that walked to stratford with us, she was cool. Oh and that Gavin guy, Volkstoj's friend, tell him Psi said hi, hes sound. Who was the skinny guy with the glasses, he had great taste in music heh...who is he

Anyway, im outta here, and i dont have Internet anymore aight, so if you guys are going to meet up and think i will be interested gimme a call at home (4248288)
