Yep. Apart from the how fiercely political of a project Muslimgauze is, I've always considered Shack to be more or less an extension of Bryn Jones for the new millenium. The similarity between his material and the early Skull Disco- and Mordant Music-stuff is very clear.

Wobble is good in moderation, I like what Skream does on his Skreamizm releases. However, it's way overused lately and very forced which results in alarming ratio of rubbish dubstep to quality dubstep. It's so hard to find good dubstep nowadays.

I'd like to hear more dubstep like Skream's Rinse 02 and N-Type's Dubstep Allstars Vol. 5. Also, Skream's Midnight Request Line is without a doubt one of dubstep-defining tracks.

Needless to say, Distance is one of the best dubstep artists ever.

Combination of IDM and dubstep, now that is something I'd like to hear. I'll definitely check them out.

If you ignore Brostep, Dubstep is almost looking better than ever before.

The DMZ guys keep doing their thing, Deep Medi and Swamp81 have been amazziiiing lately. Then there's Scuba/Hotflush/Ostgut doing the Techno/Dubstep merging thing, Instra:mental/dBridge doing the DnB/Dubstep Autonomic sound and people like James Blake completely pushing the boundaries of the genre. And Echodub for example doing Ambient/IDM-Dubstep and there's even people pushing the Dubstep-House sound, Fortified Audio & Nightslugs for example.

Some nice recommendations, thanks, I'll check them out.

Looks like Scuba is as close as it gets to Burial.

For me Scuba always was the exact opposite of Burial, very clean and mechinal/techno style.

There are a few people copying Burial but I think he is very unique and out of the normal Dubstep scene.

This would be a good example of someone copying Burial, but it's still pretty good I think. (Immerse Records has a lot of this stuff)

You should also check out Clubroot, he has his own style but he has a bit of an Burial touch.
