Possible reasons the world could end in December of 2012.
Natural disasters-all those planets lining up at the end of the 2012 calendar is either some major coincidence or the Mayans knew something. Btw, the I-ching also ends at the same time so I think that might mean something, a way of predicting fortune ends on the day that the oldest calendar ends, and the planets are all lining up, yeah…shits about to hit the fan.
Or, revolution in the middle east, governments being overthrown, WMDs being stolen from overthrown government facilities and being sold to the highest underground bidder all of whom hate at least one group on earth or another. Eminent disaster about to happen likely to occur sooner rather than later, 2012 is as good of a guess as 2011. Maybe the chemicals will be released today and it will take until December of next year to kill everyone.
Aliens- they came to earth once before giving these ancient civilizations advanced voodoo like math that allowed them to fortell the next time they will come. We had until now to prepare for a good fight, or maybe we had until now to prove ourselves worthy, or they are coming back to take us back to our homeworld/ their homeworld/ a world they were preparing for us with global wi-fii and more hot springs to utilize as bath houses and clean energy.
Or- the spiritual ascension of mankind, just because the calendar ends does not mean doom. Perhaps we are about to achieve a higher plain of existence. A deeper level of understanding about the world could happen then we could shed our worthless soul vessels we call bodies and transcend this realm of existence to a higher level of being. Maybe a technological discovery will make this possible or perhaps a spiritual awakening. Drink the Kool-aid and prepare for a higher level of existence.
Or perhaps a million other things that could happen, I feel that it is Naïve to ignore the signs the end is nigh repent heathens.
