I don't know about you, but I was watching the tsunami live on TV... It was so fucking horrific it seemed unreal, you just couldn't comprehend that it was happening right at that instant...
On topic though, I really don't think its a big deal that Japan hasn't gotten as much donations as Katrina, and I think its a shame that they have gotten more than Haiti.
Japan is a modern, first world industrial and economic power with a robust and capable infrastructure and people. The US and Haiti are much worse off, they needed donations. Japan will come out of this stronger, where as New Orleans and the Gulf Coast as well as Haiti are going to be suffering for many many years (and already have in the case of Katrina) because of what happened.
