Yes exactly! I've more or less abandoned EDM during the later years and this thread was a nice reminder . This evolution track is also very good.

Man (or should i say woman now? Isn't it strange that if you say "hey man" sounds ok/cool but if you say "hey woman" sounds derogatory somehow?) i saw the thread in the Cor and i thought you were joking haha. It took a while untill i've realized it. Good luck with your big decision.

Yeah if you are expecting fun music he certainly won't be the DJ you want. Like I said before you would have to be willing to go to a dark place with no glitz or glamour and just be there for the music. But most people today want loud shallow party music

I think System-J said something about his music being too deep live for people wanting fun music, which is true for todays scene. Lieb's music is all about being very deep and having spacey atmospheres. That's the type of shit I would kill to hear live now.

What other DJs nowadays actually try and play those types of tracks to take you on those cerebral journeys??? That's the whole reason why people went out to hear this music in the first place.

Ah yes

Nothing beats the real deal. Also sounds very much like old Spicelab so it's kinda relevant to the thread too

I was paraphrasing your defence of Lieb. I think Jay isn't just looking for mindless hedonism, and if he criticises a DJ that badly then the DJ probably fucked up big time.

Wow, my last post had nothing to do with what Jay said. I was just agreeing with your statement about his music being too deep for todays club goers. He was strictly a producer I figured like most producers in that era. I didn't even quote Jay on anything, lol wtf

That's why I was surprised to see a DJ set of his posted here because I was under the impression he never did a live act or set. I agree with him not being a good DJ. I listened to that Innertrance set posted and while the tracks were good the structure and programming seem amatuer. Also other comments from live sets have been reported to be sub-par. Really doesn't surprise me at all since he's a studio dweller.

Lighten up, not everyone in this thread is against your comments or a fanboy. Just because you think they are doesn't make it so. So take a while and think of a daft reply to my rant or fanaticism.

I didn't mean your last post. I assumed you were referring to Jay's criticism because you'd mentioned Lieb's DJ sets in the same post. Perhaps not, but I don't see what else you were referring to.

Dunno

Oh well, all this bickering is perplexing and easily lost in translation.
