I've been to a few Cubs games, and I must say, it's much more fun to attend a baseball game in person rather than watch it on TV. I can think of lots of things I'd rather watch than televised baseball. |
I've been to a few baseball games while in America, and when you're there, it becomes 'food, drinking, banter, oh and there's some guys playing baseball in the background somewhere'...which, you know, is a decent activity, but it doesn't give much in terms of a compelling sport in my opinion.. its also because there are 150 odd games a season, aren't there? hardly makes each match meaningful.

There's 162, so yeah each game isn't that meaningful, but it's not like they don't matter. Making the playoffs or not can come down to a game or two. Also the caliber of team they're playing matters, as well as who's pitching, etc. There's tons of different factors that go into making baseball interesting, but that's just my opinion. It's obviously not for everyone.

yeah yeah, that's fair play. depends on, obviously, the culture in which you were brought up, if your family is into it etc...with two scottish parents, an appreciation of baseball was never really instilled upon me
