I agree PPK sucks f***ing ass, they are totally shit in making music, have you actually checked their previous songs, i mean how f***ing shit are they...

Even Resurection wasn't their own original idea.

yeah i agree holland and belgium have the best producers.
i dont see how germany can be put in a class with them though.
sure they have alot of ppl making trance there, and tons of fans, but it's just not very good IMO. too much banging industrial sounding music with no "life" to it. it just sounds really cheap, sorry.
Accuface is very good though, really underrated, i think they come out with some world-class stuff.

If anyone hasn't heard any sets from their big Goliath or Evolution parties, I definitely recommend them. I would kill to go to one of those parties!! Dj Snowman, Dj Pure, Dj Simple... they are wicked!

Productions - Israel for sure.

I've only been to the parties in the west coast of the U.S. The vibe was great a couple years back. Now it's just plain okay cuz the law always seems to break things up and parties end at 2am, where before it would last until the sun goes up.

After seeing on-line sites and magazines of other parties such as Love Parade, Gatecrasher, and other noticable parties, I think I need to go see for myself what Europe has to offer.

I would have to guess Holland cuz my favorite dj's hail from there and almost everything is legal. That's all the info I need to hear to vote Holland as the real trance counrty.

Holland doesn't have many melodic trance tunes coming out these days. I agree that back in 1999-2000 Holland may have been the best trance country because they had so many quality tracks even from unknown producers compared to the size of the country. And there used to be many trance tracks on the Dutch dance charts, so trance was obviously played a lot on the radio as well.

But then there was a fivefold decrease in the number of Dutch melodic tracks in the early 2001. I think it happened because Netherlands doesn't have a very steady trance culture, after all. I mean Holland has many top events and DJs, but they aren't exclusively trance. Even Tiesto, Armin and Ferry have a non-uplifting side when DJing. And most of the best Dutch trance producers are making other genres as well. Of course, this is musically a very good thing, but it made it easy for them to forget trance, and move to other genres.

Exactly. A very good summary, I agree with you completely.

That's a common misconception.
Unfortunately very little stuff released in Germany (and there's tons!) gets known and recognized in the rest of Europe.

Let me just give you a few titles, to contradict your "no-life-to-it" misconception...

1) Tracks: DJ Elb - Relieve My Pain, Moni B - Stripped, D-Mention - Daydream, Triple Concept - Reminisce Over You, Electra - Hear Me, Feel Me, Jupiter - Secrets of Life, Kai Tracid - (anything), Lightforce - Join Me, Martin Eyrer - (anything), ...

2) Labels: Harem, Kontour, Dos Or Die, Suck Me Plasma, Mindworx, Unsubmissive, ...

I agree those are wicked songs (and I have heard every one before you made this post), but most German trance does not sound like those songs mentioned, you have to admit it.
you're right maybe I'm stereotyping the music too much
what I should say is there is alot of good trance coming from there, but alot more fitting my description before.

I've never seen the trance scene in other countries. But I reckon Australia's scene is something to watch out for. Maybe not so much pure trance, but hard trance/house and progressive.
