trigun was good up until episode 5 or 6 when he gets all magical and shit and then it kinda lost me. i guess mainly because i was looking for a space western and it gave me some voodoo crap. if i want that shit i'll go watch inuyasha.

Honestly, even if you're into that type of anime, I still don't know how Inuyasha can be stomachable. Truely the weakest plot and character development I've ever seen in an anime. Not to mention they just have the protagonist spam 1 move the entire series.

The english dubs, at least, are very juvenile in the writing, so I don't know if this was just a children's show in Japan that was passed off as something for adults here in the states?

i was just saying that inuyasha is full of the wizardry crap. i really don't care for the show myself.

trigun had my attention and then lost it at that point. i watched the rest but was really annoyed.

that's why i really like planetes, well researched and very realistic in every aspect.

Denys you should watch Mushishi. It's probably one of the better anime I've seen.

edit: also Gungrave

Oh my and how could I have ever forgotten Wolf's Rain? Also probably one of the better anime out there.

I loved this show. Wish they'd bring it back to Adult Swim.

Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, all those great dubs. I'm all about the fights, I'm a sucker for well animated super power antics.

Anime is something I've always wanted to get really into, but it just never happened. I usually only watch one's that friends recommend. That said, my favorites are;

Serial Experiments: Lain
Ghost in the Shell (series & movies)
Fists of the North Star (hilarious! )
Metropolis (depressing! )

Would be great to come across another really substantive series again.

I loved Lain. Obviously you can tell with the domain of TA radio being radio.cyberia.fm

That series was so good! Kinda fucked up, but really ahead of its time.

I'd suggest it to anyone who read any of the Sprawl series from Gibson or who is a fan of the Matrix (for the metaphysical aspects, not the action parts).
