Time to move on to bigger and better things! And to be honest....Im happy about it! (weird, right?) Nice to see everyone!

i had a feeling that he was not going to bring it. so i skipped it. its true.. i'm close to 30 now and i can see a lot of these shows are a miss.

i know this not because i feel burned out, i feel this because the djs are lacking selection of real talents, those gems songs.those songs that put a smile inside your soul.

its the way shit is ran nowadays. Everyone tries to put a producers show. djs and their quick fame and the new trend. They have forgotten to make the time to sit there and select a proper set-list. They just bring with them things that are new or a hit, or songs that their label is trying to push and play it along with their productions. Only a few people can pull this off and that wears out fast.

There are real and beautiful music being produced out there every month. They are there, for every genre, amongst the shitty ones. Regular people, like me and you, trying to make one song that would become a future classic. But no big-famous djs puts their time to look for them. and we allow this shit to go on. year after year. We go too see these djs, because once they shook us from out feet.

I have said "enough". next time i see a headliner, i'll look up their playlist of the past two weeks and decided if that is the sound i want to pay my money for. Because i know this dj will most likely not put their time and try to impress nyc crowd but rather keep up with their current flow. walk in, play generetic sounds , get payed, walk out. That is why i don't show up to such events. i'd rather go see the locals. they have less of the hustle and more of the hart to play good songs. They are eager to please you. They respect you. That's where you'll find me

tl;dr: big djs lack the effort, go see locals.

Last two times i saw sasha was with digweed at webster hall in 08 and then at the Mixx in AC the year after that. Ive been and praying for the day those two would spin again together but was definitely surprised by how much i enjoyed Sasha this time - I was having the time of my life between 2 and 345am.

Absolutely loved the tag-teaming and am surprised people didn't enjoy that. Thought the vibe was great and thought lots of people around me were really lovin it as well. Really enjoyed the two openers as well.

Thought madnot mad did a great job- esp with renovating the space - sound system was AMAZING. Set up was AMAZING. Slate was unrecognizable and i was in awe of how great the sound was downstairs. only complaint was the bathroom but what can you do - its a pool hall. but with such a great sound system, dancing on the bathroom line to pass the time wasnt all that bad.

Dunno bout u all - but i may be the oldest one here - 36, female, asian and still loving it. =D So really not getting all the negative posts here...

I generally prefer trance but i am really happy i went to sasha instead of the lame party at the highline. Looking forward to the next party by madnot mad.

Who said anything about getting old, being tired or not going out? I am still going out every weekend, I am simply seeking out and enjoying other things.

I gave it a good run: 10 years in the scene, and it was a great part of my life that I will never forget. It wasnt the specific party, its my LIFE. I am simply finding that there are many more important (and enjoyable) things in my life than clubbing. My world is going in a different direction and I am 100% content and happy with that <3 <3 No negativity here, just a strong and content sense that its time to hang it up! (with a few exceptions, of course!)

Life is what you make it. That being said, I had a blast. Even that guy in a wheelchair who made his way to the front near the end of the night looked like he was having a good time.

Also my review of the party : After Dani's set, I woke up on a train in NJ. I have a blank, thanks to *cough*cough* somebody...It didn't help that I was pregaming hard before hand...

A-fuckin'-MEN. I'll never get tired of saying this: support your local talent, you have no idea of the crazy amount of quality music there is out there in the unlikeliest places. A lot of these kids have an amazing amount of talent and are doing things their way to get noticed without getting caught up with bullshit industry politics. I have a lot of respect and admiration for my dj/producer friends

Anyway, I don't go out much, but I had an amazing time. It was one of the few times where I actually had fun besides listening to great music. As usual, it's always good to see a lot of old familiar faces. Last time I saw Sasha was with Digweed before wmc a few years ago in orlando. I don't follow him like crazy anymore but he played a great set this time around except for about maybe 40 minutes of downtime. I didn't mind though, since I just went downstairs and mingled with a bunch of people. Sound,venue,and girls were good.
