Just finished a ~30 track (including effects tracks, Bitwig doesn't call them buses ) project in Bitwig just fine. Know some people that have done ~50 track dance projects with no performance issues either.
After a few months of my switch to Bitwig, here is what I like:
1. Automapping of VST parameters to your controller via Preset Macros. You don't need Komplete Kontrol or Akai's new equivalent, its built right into your DAW.
2. Plugin Sandboxing. Seriously, the fact that one plugin crashing doesn't fuck your day up is just awesome.
3. The way multi-out VST is handled in 1.1 is extremely intuitive and stays out of the way.
4. Containers, containers, containers. Being able to do complex modulations, VST layers, chaining, stacking, etc all inside of various container types is simply amazing for sound design. You basically have a modular system at your disposal with your VSTs which can be saved into auto controller mapping presets.
5. Cross platform support that doesn't skip a beat sending projects back and forth.
6. Controller scripting system allowing you to do all kinds of powerful stuff / custom behavior if you know Javascript.
Everything I don't like is being fixed in 1.2. We are getting high DPI / Retina support and track grouping among other things!
