I haven't heard the album, just Southern Sun and Starry Eyed Surprise in MTV. I have to say I hate Starry Eyed Surprise, and yes Oakie is sold out. I'm not saying he had to produce trance, that's not his style anymore, but getting comercialized his wrong IMO. ok he can use his producting skills to win some bucks, that's ok.. but releasing it under his own name.. I think he'll end up playing good music in clubs full of teeny boppers who think he'll play Crazy Town's tracks for them. I think he's going the wrong way as a producer.. as a dj I can't tell cuz I haven't heard any of his sets (not even the sets from the time he was a trance god ), but he's free to choose any direction he wants, as long he doesn't play cheese! cheese is the devil

I hate starry eyed surprize as well but I like the remix that Lieb has done, thank fuck someone salvaged it, but even then he has pretty much made remade the tune himself...

The way I see things:

Oakey made a different track to his norm... The fans hate it but are still talking about him (any publicity is good publicity)... Oakey will more than likely make another wcked trance tune in the near future and the fans will love it just because it's trance again.

You know how many times I've talked to Oakenfold....shit I even got drunk with him behind the dj booth when he came the second time. I honestly think so....I would use that to make me stronger and know what I need to change. I mean I don't literally tell him "YO OAKIE YOU SUCK!!" I'm just like yeah you know it was a bit way off for me. You know like just tell him yeah it was to housie or what made you create this track. If you ever meet him I suggest you sit down and pick his brain. He's a VERY SMART man!!!! Guy is literally a genius!!
