Washed up is more, you shouldn't be playing any more and can't rock a room. Washed up is falling over the deck because you've probably had enough for the night.

So ya, doesn't work...

he couldn't do that even if he wanted to because he says he can't afford to not work

i beg to differ, guy just spun 12 hour's new years day in mexico
and several gigs in wmc,bal en blanc all with positive review's

he's not showing up to gig's playing a 2 hour "predictable" dj set like most other dj's, guy puts alot of time and effort into his set's

i seen him maybe 6 times last year and i would say 2 times he was not his typical self, but the other times fugettboutit!!!! once afterhour's hit and he is in his zone...HE IS IN HIS ZONE, anyone who knows what iam talking about will agree

he should just take a good amount of time to rest up, move out, clear his head, get back in the studio and build his career back up with some new productions and maybe a few cd's and hopefully release some of those recorded sets

Yep and proof is in the pudding. He wouldn't continue getting large bookings if he was truly washed up and not in demand...

Disagree. He rocked it at WMC and Bal en Blanc.

His edits and his accapellas over tracks are so creative and mindblowing, its truly inspirational. I saw him play a track as cheesy as Audiowhores - Sometimes at Bal en Blanc(keep in mind he was playing right after Fedde Le Grand) and he was layering accapellas over that track in such original way I totally forgot I was listening to cheese.

And that's just one moment. I love how he can take you through a dark set and end the morning/afternoon off with some disco classics. You feel satisfied and upbeat after going on a twisted journey.

Good points. Not saying that he can't still lay down a proper set, just that he's 51 now, and has "been there, done that". If he wants to take time off or retire, I hope he enjoys it and he shouldn't feel like he has to keep going in the scene. I mean, at 51, he's only a few years younger than my parents, who I could never imagine doing anything for 12 hours straight, let alone playing 12 hour sets with jetlag and all the other things that go along with being a touring dj. After 30 years, thats gotta take a toll.

Tenaglia could play til he's 80 if he were to cut out the super long sets and reduce his travel. It's not like he's playing football or anything

Long sets are his thing - that is what he likes, AND he likes doing them well, so taking time off is righly deserved.

SO true. This is where he really shines.

I loved when he was throwing this accapella around during le Bal.

One of my favourite songs of all time.

Some more read on his famous loft. What a place...Wonder what the property taxes are on it for him to be financially tight
