talk is cheap, here's some facts about US foreign aid:

fiscal year 1999.

if anyone wonders why egypt has such a high aid, its because their border with israel is now definitive. i.e. us buying peace for israel.

also look at the poor countries mostly in south america and africa... they are the ones really suffering... blah who cares right?

p.s. the graphic looks all screwed up... look it up here http://www.foreignpolicy-infocus.or...ael.html#Figure 5

Satan (eek!)

After the first World War, the League of Nations was formed to ensure that never again would a country have the ability to pose a threat to the whole world. Obviously this body focused on Germany as their prime concern. In 1936, before the heaviest of the rearming had begun, Hitler decided to test his fate against the rest of Europe. He sent troops to the Rhineland (on french border) with nothing but empty guns. His troops wern't even armed! The Rhineland had specificaly been noted as an area to be kept under Allied control. Hitlers orders were to retreat if so much as a rock was thrown at them from the French side. He just wanted to see what his enemy would do. The French immeadiatly contacted London. The British told the French NOT to act. Hitler knew from that point on that Europe WOULD stand idely by while he built up his forces far past the resolutions set by the Treaty of Versailles. I can only hope that a modern version of the League of Nations (the United Nations) won't follow the same path. Saddam has broken 16 of the UN resolutions following the Gulf War. If he does make a nuke, none of you believe that there is a chance he might sell it to terrorists?? How can Americans not act? Who cares what US aid is aimed at, whether it be public relations or a better world, they shouldn't sit on their hands while Iraq makes nuclear weapons. Next time it won't be 3,000 people, there will be tens maybe hundreds of thousands dead.

Thanks for the history lesson but here something to ponder:
Who checks on the arms produced by US??How many nukes do they posses??(hundreds, thoousands...maybe millions)

The US is now taking the place of hitler by not abiding by UN regulations or even agreeing with the International court of Justice.

ur talking about 3000 people??? how about the 10s of thousands of people that were killed or disfigured at the time of and even at present by the hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb??

Dont countries like France, India, Pakistan, China etc. have Nukes too??

u just made a huge statement which contradicts ur own support..

Think about what ive asked in this post and then tell us whether everything going on is affirmative action or not.

Im not bashing u or the US. Im just removing that filter in front of ur eyes.

I didn't see anything in Oceanlab's post indicating he supports a dictatorship. You've made some valid points, but how come when someone doesn't agree with you, you immediately think it's because they have a filter in front of their eyes? The majority of Canadian news publications (with their Liberal Left-Leaning tendencies) don't support attacking Iraq. Sure there's bias in certain news coverage with most of it focusing on the states, but where does this idea of brainwashing and mass manipulation come from? Honestly, I'd like to know. And about the other terrorists like the IRA etc... that has nothing to do with the current issue: muslim extremists who are terrorists. I have nothing against muslims, but the issue is the terrorists who blow up innocent Israelis, fly planes into buildings, blow up embassies, and even live amongst us (hence Mohammed Jabarrah) and pose a threat to our lives. THey are all muslim extremists. Why can't we admit that? I'm not paranoid or anything, I live with 3 muslims...one from Iran and 2 from United Arab Emirates. Where in the middle east did you live Dj El Kay Dee? I'm just interested, not for arguments sake. What was it like? Enlighten me. I've never been there.

First of all this forum should've been dedicated to victims of 9/11 and the victims from other countries like Russia, and Israel. Terrorism shouldn't be tolerated in ANY country.

If feel pain when Russia was attacked by terrorism and the world did nothing, completely nothing.

As for Canadians, wake up US is not your enemy, we depend on them more then you know it, and our economy and way of life is thanks to them, they do things not so perfectly, but in this world if it wasn't the US it would be someone else.

Everyone thinks US is the big bully, well it's life, it's just the way it is, there isn't much you can do about it, you're asking for a pefrect world, any country in power would do the same or worse, it's always about the money, you have to realize it's not the US, it's the world to blame for, it's our nature for the need for money and power, not that it's right it's just real.

I think this thread has gotten out of hand, time to delete it from history, as i feel pain from the outcome, I saw gournd zero 3 months after the attacks along with my friend ziggy, will not comment, got pictures will not post, it's never fair when people die, we should always remember and never forget the victims of 9/11, Russia, Israel, and many other countries where terrorism took innocent lifes.

Peace

ESO

drewfactor... i lived in the United Arab Emirates...

UAE has a stand not to be involved in any sort of war and have been that way since it was formed in 1971.

Im not Arab. Im Indian even tho i was born and raised there. Its not just sand and camels as all those elsewhere in the world are made to believe.

The people over there are extremely friendly. for example- if u are in the elevator with a local arab, wther u know them or not, they acknowledge ur presence by saying hello and start a conversation with u. however over here, ive noticed, even if u commute all along the subway from one end to the next and ur sitting beside someone the whole journey, they act as if u dont exist and if u say hello or try to start up a conversation, they get paranoid and look at u wierdly.

Everyone around the world is good..there is no bad person. Its just the greed that is driving the goverments all over the world right now

Actually Arabs are quite friendly. They always have been to me (and usually mention something positive about Germany). As a matter of fact every second Arab I have met speaks German . I Always find that a shocker for some reason. But Arabs are very Friendly ppl and I do give LKD the right to that.
