I like it because it's faster and easier to dance to than dubstep. They both can sound nice on a good system but it just seems like playing dubstep is faux pas these days. If I hear a dj spinning dubstep I immediately think "I know exactly where this is going," whereas trap can be taken in different directions. For example I saw SBTRKT and Kastle last weekend and they were both doing some really interesting things with that style, mixing it with RnB and other sexy sounds.
