I refuse to believe that there are no other ways to have a mature conversation. All Snowden and Greenwald have done is make people unnecessarily angry and paranoid.

slavery was legal. That is a poor reason not to divulge information. Legal but kinda unconstitutional and it is something the country needs to confront. Unfortunately it seems people can be side tracked like confused kittens placing all the emphasis on the wrong issue. The people that run these things must be laughing at how idiotic and prone to simple subterfuge their population have become.

Would you be saying the same thing if the information was about black sites around the USA were americans are held without being charged despite if it was legal because they added a few paragraphs to an unrelated bill that would be uncontested. The same logic applies to both yet i doubt you would feel the same. What the government does is unconstitutional but you morons trick yourselves into thinking it is fine because well, if you have nothing to hide , it doesn't matter. Well if you aren't a terrorist, then those camps are no worry and someone leaking that little secret should be charged as a traitor. Well guantanamo is a pretty good case study in how stringent the USA seems to be regarding guilt and just cause. I would be pretty fucking paranoid. I would definitely not waste time focusing on snowden but on the actual issues that matter.

There is a problem when your government is starting to pay royalties to Orwell's beneficiaries. I would say the constitution is pretty fucking clear and that he should be covered by the whistle blower act.

And I would respond that you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. The Constitution hasn't been broken, moron.

Although I'm inclined to agree with you there, as this is usually how I think, I can't think of a starting argument that isn't outrageous this time... even "For Science!" doesn't seem to cut this time around

I think its necessary for the public to be more inform about this kind of stuff and that's what they were trying to do. I think most of peoples anger and paranoia stem from some sort of blissful ignorance.

For a while I did Cisco Networking and was astounded at some of the stuff you could do like Telnet and various remote accesses, see passwords and all types of computing history and just seeing how filtered the network were was pretty amazing. Snowden's shit is on another level though, and maybe freaked him out.

Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure. I would say this is pretty fucking unreasonable. Maybe log off go follow some suspicious black people or what ever it is you do to clear your head. The country is the way it is because of mongoloid patsies like you that will take a broomstick way past the safety marker up your rectum and giggle.

I mean the whole reason the 4rth amendment exists was to safe guard against unwarranted breaches of privacy. I mean what fucking kind of idiot sauce are you taking that would allow you to do the required mental gymnastics to not see what was disclosed as a pretty fucking big breach of that amendment. You should care because they are eventually going to come for your little rave pills so this does affect assholes like you who have become so fucking stupid and complacent. Im pretty sure you would take any form of abuse as long as you have access to rolling bass lines, super saw leads and a glow stick to entertain yourself while you twitch in the corner.

pretty sure that is already going on you dumb fuck. It isn't paranoia when you have fucking evidence. Which apparently is why this should matter. The government is doing things that had you claimed prior would be labelled paranoia. It turns out that this is quite real. I have some nigerian friends that would love your emails for business opportunities.

i wonder if edward snowden gets an 'oops' pass like this...

It turns out you can't even trust the Internal Revenue Service with your social security number. Some bungling IT staffer at every Americans' favorite government agency forgot to redact tens of thousands of SSNs when uploading a new online database on the $1.5 trillion nonprofit industry.

Thanks to the keen eyes of PublicResource.org, a nonprofit that specializes in publishing government archives, the IRS has already shut down the database, so criminals looking for easy identity theft victims will have to search elsewhere for the time being.

But the publication of the SSNs alone is a huge and embarrassing oversight for the IRS, which, prior to a sustained campaign by PublicResource, had previously mailed out the database in the form of DVDs, on a subscription basis for $2,580 a month. PublicResource's Carl Mahmud told BoingBoing:

Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua Offers Snowden Asylum!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/201...-edward-snowden

quote:

Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua have offered asylum to Edward Snowden, the US whistleblower who is believed to have spent the past two weeks at a Moscow airport evading US attempts to extradite him.

The Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, and his Nicaraguan counterpart, Daniel Ortega, made the asylum offers on Friday, shortly after they and other Latin American leaders met to denounce the diversion of a plane carrying the Bolivian president, Evo Morales, due to suspicions that Snowden might have been on board.

Shortly after, Morales also said Bolivia would grant asylum to Snowden, if asked. On Saturday, Venezuela's offer was given a warm reception by an influential member of the Russian parliament.

In a tweet, Alexei Pushkov, chairman of the Duma foreign affairs committee, said: "Asylum for Snowden in Venezuela would be the best solution."

No, it actually doesn't you unbelievably vapid moron. It protects against unwarranted searches and seizures. Collecting metadata, not listening in on your conversations or reading your text messages, isn't exactly a search or a seizure considering that information is already not your property. Anything you do online is not your property, it belongs to your ISP. Your cell phone data doesn't belong to you, it belongs to your carrier. If you really think this is a breach of the 4th amendment you should join the Tea Party and move to Alabama.
