also you might need some professional help with your dellusions. ive experienced GAS myself but yours are totaly out of control and its obvious that youre trying to compensate for something else lacking in your life. take drugs instead maybe? its cheaper.
you don't know the meaning of GAS. I would say his purchases, albeit stupid , well within the limits of normal.
I just bought a matching pair of AEA ribbon mics that are now safely stored. I hoard shit I probably won't ever use. Its like shopping for girls. But i also buy shoes. I have about 25 pairs of shoes. I am probably gay.
Anyone else notice the purple Gain Reduction indicator at the top of each channel strip
when there is a native Logic compressor on it?
Does this also work for third-party compressors? If not, I wonder if they'll
eventually open up some kind API for third-party developers.

Yeah, it's fucking great. They actually stole it from the Euphonix MC series desks; when you use the built in compressor on a channel, you get a downward gain reduction meter. Haven't tried it with another 3rd party one yet.....

One work around with Sylenth1 is with jBridgeM and DDMF Metaplugin, got it working with the demo versions but still trying to work out how to automate parameters.
1. Install jBridgeM demo: http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridgem/ - you'll probably have to restart the mac after install.
2. Download Metaplugin demo and copy AU and VST plugins to relevant locations: http://www.ddmf.eu/product.php?id=3
3. Run jBridgerM from Applications/jBridgeM and select the sylenth1.vst from your plugins folder /library/audio/plug-ins/vst. Make sure you set it to 64bit Host.
4. Load LPX and make sure MetapluginSynth registers in AU Manager.
5. Bring up MetaPluginSynth AU.
6. Right click in the MegaPlugin demo, click load plugin (after this you can just select [jBridgeM]LennardDigital->Sylenth1)
7. Go to /users//library/audio/plug-ins/VST/PluginsBridgedFor64VSTHosts and select Sylenth1.vst
8. Drag the Midi Input to the top of Sylenth1
9. Drag the two Sylenth1 outputs underneath into Audio Output.
10. Double click on the 4: Sylenth1
11. Away you go...
Still testing, but both DDMF and jBridgeM are pretty cheap so if I can work out automation then happy days, credit card comes out again.

No, it only works with Logic's Compressor, Silver Compressor, Limiter, and Adaptive Limiter plugins. That would be cool, though.

I'm still waiting for the update. Logic won't full install on my comp or laptop, tried both (no success). When i quit the extra content installation just try to Logic X it automatically quits.
If less is more think about how much more more would be.
