i dont understand why people call tiesto #1 in the world. he's #1. in the djmag, do they own the world? i could start my own mag tomorrow and make a list... would that mean the #1 is #1 in the world too? didnt think so.

is this vote done by the public or by the peers? seems it sohuld be done like how the oscars are done. otherwise for all we could know tiesto could of set up an automatic voting system . eh though i guess no matter waht the results are people are going to side with there fav dj no matter the skill level. also so few dnb djs, and scratch djs. some of them are amazing and very skilled. i may not be a fan of the music but they still have quite some talent. nice to see hybrid on the list, while i enjoy thier sets i don't view them as being that skilled though.

Some people here don't know how to read. This is a GLOBAL POPULARITY CONTEST, and as of today, Tiesto IS the most popular dj in the world, with the most hype and the most requests for bookings. Just go into local forums around the world and you'll see this is true. Europe, North America, South America, Australia, Asia, Africa, Antartica. People want Tiesto. POPULARITY, OK>? POPULARITY.

DJs like Hardwick are awesome but they rarely leave Europe, so therefore, they deserve the spot that they got, because they're not GLOBAL enough yet.

And it's alright if you think Tiesto didn't deserve the #1 spot, but come on, it's pretty ridiculous to say he's shit. Didn't even Dumonde Trancer enjoy his last set at GK's b-day. He said he did.

His American tour has received almost unanimous praise b/c, check this, he BOUGHT NEW RECORDS, HE HASN'T SPUN A SINGLE CHEESY TRACK, AND HIS MIXING AND TRACK PLACEMENT HAVE BEEN PRETTY MUCH ON PAR.

I'm gonna see PvD tonight after seeing Tiesto twice in the last two weeks. Peace!
